Adrift, the signature item of STATIC. It is lightweight, warm, and highly breathable, making it an excellent and popular choice for active insulation during winter activities. However, until now, it was only available in pullover styles like vests, crews, and half-zips. That’s why we’ve introduced this new full-zip version.

As an active insulation piece, you typically don’t need to take it on and off very often, but the zip-up style makes it easier to change while wearing sunglasses or a hat, and it’s also convenient for ventilation when you start to heat up.

It is slightly heavier due to the zipper, but at the end of the day, a full-zip is just much easier to use.

Store Manager: Male, 170cm, 67kg, wearing Size M

It has a relaxed fit; choosing your usual size gives a roomy feel, while sizing down provides a true-to-fit look. We recommend sizing down for slimmer individuals.

Please note that if you prefer a loose fit and choose one size up, it will feel quite large.

Octa®CPCP® used as a fleece

In recent years, the active insulation category of outdoor apparel has expanded rapidly.
Mainly overseas brands have been leading product development. One of the insulation materials used in such gear is TEIJIN Octa®CPCP®, known for its lightweight properties and high heat retention.

STATIC has chosen to use Octa®CPCP®—which is typically used as a lining for insulated products—as a standalone fabric. Products from brands based in high-altitude, arid climates often combine Octa®CPCP® with nylon shells, making them heavy and difficult to use for layering in Japan, where such garments are often carried as insulation.

Because of its special mesh structure, it is overwhelmingly lighter than standard 300g-weight fleeces, offers an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio, and is highly portable, making it useful for all seasons.

SUSTAINABILITY

- Since Autumn/Winter 2023, it has been made from 53% recycled materials, ahead of the industry.
- By switching to recycled materials, CO2 emissions during fabric production are reduced by 23% compared to virgin polyester OctaCPCP.
- Uses fabric produced in Japanese factories that have received OEKO-TEX® certification (*).
- The fabric dyeing process uses biomass (plant-derived) instead of petroleum to reduce CO2 emissions.
- Cutting scraps generated during the product manufacturing process are recycled into new fabric instead of being incinerated.
- Brand tags, size tags, and care labels are made from 100% recycled polyester derived from plastic bottles.

Material Features

- Lightweight: Achieves about half the weight of polyester fibers with the same diameter.
- Moisture Wicking & Quick Drying: Achieves about half the weight of polyester fibers with the same diameter.
- Heat Insulation: Dead air trapped within the hollow parts and eight projections creates a thermal barrier.

PRODUCT CARE

- Do not use fabric softeners or bleach.

- Hand wash, or use a laundry net on a delicate or hand-wash cycle.

- Do not tumble dry or dry clean.

- The fabric is susceptible to snagging on sharp objects, so be careful when trekking through dense brush.
