RE:Wool Wrist Warmer

The RE:WOOL series is a group of recycled items made from cutting scraps from STATIC's 100% wool product "RAW series."

Instead of discarding the cutting scraps that would normally be discarded, we use a de-piller (a machine with a pin-mounted roller) to turn the fabric pieces into fibers and wadding. However, if we only use the wadding, the fibers are shorter and of lower quality than virgin wool fibers.

To increase the strength of the yarn, virgin wool (treated with non-chlorine resin for shrinkage prevention) is mixed in and twisted into the yarn again. This allows us to spin new yarns that are a mix of recycled and virgin fibers and turn them into products.

The process for producing this product is different from that of regular products, as follows:

・Management of cut pieces by changing the usual routine (disposal) at sewing factories ・Time-consuming factory work to sort cut pieces and remove waste ・Shrink-proof treatment of virgin yarn ・Yarn spinning from recycled and virgin fibers ・Whole garment manufacturing

Although there are difficulties inherent in recycling, it is a technique that has been cultivated in Bishu for a long time, and we cannot afford not to utilize it.

Furthermore, by knitting this yarn into knitted products rather than weaving it, we are able to reduce waste by not producing any new cuttings.

This is a RE:WOOL product that STATIC is committed to as part of their initiative to create "apparel that doesn't get thrown away."

A simple wrist warmer that allows you to expose all five fingers. It is a free size, but it has good stretch so it can be worn by both men and women.
