Highly recommended for those who struggle to find the right hat! Ridge Mountain Gear, on the contrary, has too many great hats, making it hard to choose! This is the new NT type of Ridge Mountain Gear's classic Basic Cap.
It offers better breathability and stretchability than the normal version, making it perfect for summer. With no top button and a brim that isn't too long, you can even wear a helmet over it!

Plus, it's lightweight and looks great with both everyday wear and mountain attire, so I strongly recommend it to anyone looking for a hat.

I wanted to carry this hat so much that I even approached Ridge Mountain Gear to discuss stocking it!

"Differences between Basic Cap and Basic Cap NT"
Both have the same design, but the main fabric is different.

Basic Cap uses 100% nylon material: Toray's Stunner®.

Basic Cap NT uses 100% polyester material: Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd.'s COOL DOTS®.

 "Usage"
Both can be used year-round, but to compare them:

Basic Cap has high wind resistance and provides warmth in chilly weather. It has a cotton-like texture.

Basic Cap NT has high breathability and stretchability, making it more suitable for summer activities.

 【Manufacturer's Description】

The main body features a simple 6-panel design. Unlike the shallow silhouette and short brim of cycle caps, the 'Basic Cap' pursues a deep fit and an appropriately long brim.

 It's a perfect balance that reduces the impact of wind and effectively blocks sunlight. Every detail has been thoroughly thought out to ensure stress-free use in both outdoor and everyday settings. Before this cap was created, I tried on many caps from various outdoor brands. However, most of them were a bit shallow and couldn't fully cover my ears. Especially on windy days, I had to constantly worry about the cap flying off, which was a source of stress.

Since my head circumference is slightly larger, off-the-shelf caps didn't fit me well. Through these experiences, the desire to "create a cap that I would truly find comfortable" grew within me. And in 2019, the 'Basic Cap' was born. The concept and design embedded in this cap have been carried on unchanged ever since. 

【Material】

 This product uses COOL DOTS®, a 4-way stretch fabric with elasticity in both vertical and horizontal directions. COOL DOTS® is a high-performance material made of 100% polyester, developed by Komatsu Matere Co., Ltd., featuring countless microscopic air holes. The characteristics of this material are its excellent stretchability and breathability. Its superior stretchability allows it to flexibly adapt to all movements, reducing stress during wear. It naturally conforms to body movements during sudden shifts in hiking or active everyday scenes, maintaining comfort. Furthermore, the high breathability provided by the microscopic air holes suppresses stuffiness even during prolonged wear, keeping you cool. You can stay comfortable even in summer or during highly active situations.

The sweatband uses COOLMAX® fabric. It is a 100% polyester pique material with quick-drying and UV-cut (UPF 40+) functions. 

【Care】

 It is recommended to put it in a laundry net when washing.

 Dark colored products may transfer dye. As a precaution, please wash separately from other items.

Do not use detergents containing fluorescent brighteners or chlorine bleach.

Avoid tumble drying.

When ironing, always use a pressing cloth and iron from the inside.

The core of the brim is soft, so it will not break if bent, but if the brim is folded too much, it may wrinkle and take time to return to its original state. Please avoid intentionally bending it.
