I might really love this hat! I like hats in general, but I'm more of a hat person. However, hats are bulky when not worn and easily blown away by the wind, so I often wore caps outdoors. But this hat, like the Basic Cap, can be tightened with a cord for a snug fit, and the brim can be folded to create various styles. This is definitely going to be in heavy rotation, from daily wear!

The ridge lines of high altitudes in summer feel like a special place for hikers. A clear blue sky stretches out, unobstructed, and a gentle breeze softly caresses your cheeks. Countless small flowers bloom at your feet, and in the distance, mountain ridges stretch vividly, creating moments where you can't help but gasp at the magnificent panorama. In such a breathtaking landscape, you feel a sense of lightness in your body and mind, reaching a blissful state where you feel "just being here is enough."

However, during those luxurious moments, a concern about "sunburned ears" was always at the back of my mind. After several days of walking the ridge, constantly exposed to strong UV rays, the edges of my ears would always be bright red and peel after descending. Not only was it painful, but the subsequent annoyance and change in appearance were also bothersome. I kept regretting, "Ah, I did it again," every time.

Of course, I didn't neglect taking precautions. I diligently reapplied sunscreen to my ears, and I tried adding bandanas or neck gaiters under my cap. However, these methods always had some issue. They would get stuffy or slip, ultimately sacrificing comfort, and I naturally stopped using them. Still, the day I would be free from the discomfort of sunburned ears never came.

The humble wish for "a hat that can protect my ears more simply and naturally" became the catalyst for the birth of the "Enough Hat." Designed by reflecting on my experiences as a hiker, this hat is based on RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR's standard "Basic Cap," with an added brim of "just the right" length to firmly cover the ears. It achieves an exquisite balance that effectively blocks sunlight without obstructing vision.

We also paid attention to the design, focusing on a minimalist appearance that isn't excessively large. It was finished as a versatile item that can be comfortably used not only in strong high-altitude sunlight but also for hiking at lower elevations and as sun protection in the city. Made with highly breathable and quick-drying material, it remains comfortable even during sweaty summer mountain hikes without feeling stuffy. Now, you can fully enjoy the scenery and the wind without worrying about sunburned ears.

This hat was born from the desire to solve the small problem of sunburned ears. However, looking back now, I feel that this "small problem" is a common challenge shared by many hikers. "With the Enough Hat, hiking under the sun will be even more enjoyable." This is the thought I put into this hat.

The biggest feature of the "Enough Hat" is the unique shape of its brim. While the brims of general hats are often uniformly open in the front, back, and sides, the "Enough Hat" overturns this convention by finely adjusting the degree of brim opening at three points: front, side, and back.

The front brim is designed at an exquisite angle that ensures visibility while firmly blocking sunlight. This means it doesn't obstruct your view when checking the terrain or looking at your feet during a hike. The side brim, on the other hand, is shaped to cover the ears, specifically covering them thoroughly to protect them from strong UV rays. This design protects hikers from sunburned ears. Additionally, the back brim subtly covers the nape of the neck, reducing sunlight reflection and UV rays from behind when walking on mountain trails.

This design condenses years of mountain experience. Rather than simply spreading uniformly, fitting the necessary parts at "just the right" angle is the reason for the "Enough Hat's" birth and its greatest feature. Thanks to this shape, not only is its functionality in the mountains dramatically improved, but it also achieves a smart appearance that looks natural in the city.

Another appeal of the "Enough Hat" is its flexibility, allowing for various ways of wearing it depending on the scene and situation. This hat not only protects against UV rays but can also be freely arranged to suit the wearer's style and purpose.

For example, on days with less sunlight, cloudy days, or when you want to secure a wider field of vision in front while walking a ridge, we recommend lightly raising the front of the brim. This style reduces shadows covering the face and expands your field of vision. It is very useful when enjoying distant scenery on the trail or when you want to clearly see the path underfoot. Additionally, raising the front brim creates a light impression for the entire hat, which is convenient when you want a change of mood.

This product uses COOL DOTS® with 4-Way stretch, offering stretch in both vertical and horizontal directions. COOL DOTS® is a high-performance material made of 100% polyester, developed by KOMATSU MATERE CO., LTD., featuring countless tiny air holes. The characteristics of this material are its excellent stretch and breathability.

Its superior stretch allows it to flexibly adapt to all movements, reducing stress during wear. It naturally conforms to body movements and maintains comfort during sudden movements while hiking or in active daily life. Furthermore, the high breathability from its tiny air holes suppresses stuffiness even during prolonged wear, keeping you cool. You can stay comfortable even in summer or during intense physical activity.

The sweatband uses COOLMAX® fabric.

It is a 100% polyester pique material with excellent moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and UV-cut (UPF 40+) functions.

[Care]

We recommend placing the product in a laundry net when washing.

Dark colored products may bleed, so please wash them separately from other items as a precaution.

Do not use detergents containing fluorescent brighteners or chlorine bleach.

Do not tumble dry.

When ironing, always use a pressing cloth and iron from the inside.

The core of the brim is soft, so it will not break when bent. However, if the brim is bent too finely, it may wrinkle and take time to return to its original shape. Please avoid intentionally bending it.
