Maximum capacity refers to the amount of liquid it can lift, not the size of the pot. For example, Miksa's small pot lifter can be used with a 2L pot containing 600ml. The capacity of an aluminum pot lifter is generally based on the leverage required to lift the weight of the pot and liquid. While a very strong person might be able to lift more than 600ml of a small pot, most people will not be able to do so. Conversely, a large pot lifter requires less force to lift a small pot containing less water. However, the capacity limit of a carbon fiber pot lifter is based on the strength of the actual material, so do not exceed the maximum capacity listed on the carbon fiber pot lifter.
