[Manager's comment]
The British brand CRUX is known for its "fully waterproof" and "high durability" features! Just hearing these words gives you a sense of security. However, these two features may make you worry about the weight, but it's actually very lightweight. It doesn't have any convenient external pockets, but that's precisely why it can be freely customized and attached, making it an appealing choice. This is the perfect backpack for activities where you carry a lot of luggage and get wet, such as canyoning, backcountry skiing, and packrafting!
The AK27 has a top lid and a capacity of 20L, but actually has a capacity of about 30L. It is a recommended size for day trips such as mountain climbing and hiking.
The RK series roll-top pack also has side pockets, making it easy to store and secure poles, paddles, skis, etc. (Bottles, etc., cannot be stored).
According to the person in charge at the import agency, there has never been a repair that they couldn't do, so the fact that you can continue to use it for a long time is highly appreciated.
[Manufacturer quote]
A lightweight, fully waterproof alpine backpack that has continued to evolve since CRUX was founded.
This model was released in Japan first and is equipped with features designed for use in Japan.
It is packed with features not found in 30L or larger bags, is completely waterproof, and can withstand snow, rain, and other weather conditions, as well as being suitable for heavy use in climbing, stream climbing, mountaineering, ice fishing, sailing, kayaking, and more.
AK Series [Top Lid Type]
Compared to roll-top rain covers, top-lid type rain covers have the advantages of higher luggage storage capacity, the ability to secure things like ropes and mats between the top lids, and waterproofness in rainy weather.
*Although it is not shown in the product photo, the specifications have been changed to include an axe attachment.
[Two senses of security]
Welding processing is used to achieve complete waterproofing.
The seams of the fabric are pressed together rather than sewn to prevent water from seeping in. Furthermore, the lining is coated with a water-resistant coating of 10,000 mm, achieving waterproofness on a par with that of rain gear.
Being completely waterproof means you can feel safe in the rain while hiking, climbing streams, or alpine climbing. The roll-top is made of flexible material, making it airtight and completely waterproof. There's no need for a separate dry bag, which also helps reduce the weight of your gear.
Its high durability comes from the use of Kevlar, the same material used in bulletproof vests. This durable material means it is less likely to break on rocky areas, walls, streams, and ice routes, giving you peace of mind.
It provides more targeted utility to meet users' hybrid needs.
The side compression straps have been replaced with reflective bungee cords for additional fastening, the side mesh pockets are now zippered to store wet clothing and small gear in a ventilated space, and a full-length zippered compartment on the front panel provides a separate place to store a shell jacket or raincoat when the weather gets unpredictable.
