[Manager's comment]
Sorry for the wait! It's finally here! This is Tanaka Shoten's original mountain stole. This mountain stole is from PRIRET, the brand known for the contour lines of Mt. Tanigawa and Mt. Akagi, but it's actually a Kiryu brand made in Kiryu.
That's right. We've collaborated with Tanaka Shoten in the same city of Kiryu!!

A new Manpei was also designed for this mountain stole, and the result is a fun and lively Manpei mountain stole!

A versatile scarf that can be used for a variety of purposes, including adding a touch of style to your everyday life, keeping your neck warm while cycling, protecting you from the sun while hiking, and even as a hand towel to wipe away sweat!

[Difference between mountain stole and neck gaiter]
The only difference is the length.

As the name suggests, neck gaiters are worn over the head.

The mountain stole is long, so as the name suggests, it can be wrapped around your neck or worn over your head like a neck gaiter. When worn over your head, it adds volume to your neck due to its length, making it warmer than a neck gaiter.

When the sun is strong, you can also wear a headband!

【Product Description】
A mountain stole is a stole that can be used as a towel and can be worn all year round. It is a stole made specifically for outdoor use, with enhanced functionality thanks to a mix of natural fibers and air-permeable weave.
A new mountain item that replaces towels and tenugui cloths. Great for hiking, camping, cycling, and more.
A mountain scarf is light and compact, so keep it in your backpack at all times.
The natural fibers allow you to stay comfortable in both summer and winter, and they dry quickly, absorb UV rays, and reduce sweat odor.
How the mountain stole is made①【Futsuori】
The Yama stole is a seamless double weave woven using the traditional "Kazudoori" weaving technique from Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture.
The double layer construction allows for quick drying and heat retention, and combined with the characteristics of the material, it makes for a multi-functional product.

The double-layered fabric of the air-permeable weave allows for quick drying and provides excellent heat retention.
Weaving on a rare, old-fashioned shuttle loom creates selvedge edges on both ends. These selvedge edges are proof that the fabric is seamless, a valuable feature not found in mass-produced products. By slowly weaving a few meters per day on a shuttle loom that cannot be used for mass production, we are able to create a soft, warm piece.
How the Yama-Stole is Made② [Hand-dyed/Hand-printed]
This hand-printing is another artisanal technique that is essential to the creation of Yama-stoles. Each and every one is printed by hand on one side by a Gunma traditional craftsman.
Normally, fabrics that are prone to color transfer can be printed on each piece of fabric before being sewn together, but because this fabric is woven using a method called Kazetoori, which is made from a single thread, it must be dyed after it is completed as a product.
Therefore, to prevent the color from transferring to the backing fabric, we adjust the viscosity of the dye according to the weather and temperature, and adjust the amount of force used when dyeing.
Since each side is hand-printed, there may be some color bleeding around the edges (edges), but we hope you will enjoy this as part of the charm.
