[Manager's comment]
These hiking pants are part of Ridge Mountain's classic Basic series. Made with Supplex nylon, they're incredibly durable and quick-drying! I've been wearing pants made from the same material from a different manufacturer for over four years, and apart from a hole from a campfire, they still look like new with no signs of fading, stretching, or deformation.
The waist is elastic and very comfortable. But it also comes with a belt so you don't have to worry about it slipping down! And the fit is relaxed yet slim-fitting, so it's recommended for those who don't like wide-leg pants.
*Please note that there is no front opening (commonly known as the social window), so men should be careful.
Manager: 170cm/68kg, wearing size L
I can wear size M. However, the fabric is not stretchy, and I have thick legs, so I prefer size L as it doesn't feel too tight.
[Quote from manufacturer]
The pants have a silhouette similar to trousers, and can be worn for everyday use or hiking. The waist is elastic, so it's comfortable, but we've also focused on creating a clean silhouette. These pants are designed to be comfortable for both casual and active occasions.
Personally, I don't like stretch pants and haven't worn them for years. The reason is that with many stretch pants, the knees tend to show as you wear them, ruining the silhouette. To prevent this problem, I choose non-stretch fabric. Although they are non-stretch, they still have enough room from the hips to the knees and hem for movement. This design allows me to always maintain a beautiful silhouette without sacrificing ease of movement.
We also pay close attention to the fabric we use. We use materials that are durable and can withstand everyday use. We also select materials that are comfortable for outdoor activities like hiking. This means you can stay comfortable even on hot days and they dry quickly even if you sweat, so you can always stay comfortable.
These pants combine design and functionality, making them perfect for everyday casual wear as well as active outdoor activities.
【material】
The Basic Hike Pants are made from Supplex® nylon fabric that has been washed to give it a cotton-like feel.
Washing is a process used to give woven and knitted fabrics a unique texture and softness. This process involves pre-dyeing the fibers, washing the fabric in a special way, and using unique techniques in the finishing process. Washing makes the fabric softer, improves its texture, and makes it less likely to wrinkle.
Fabric characteristics: soft and comfortable
Produced using Supplex® Nylon Air Jet Texturing, a process that gives nylon fibers the softness and comfort of natural cotton, using high-velocity airflow to expand the fibers, improving flexibility and softness.
Fabric characteristics: Durability
The chemical structure of nylon itself makes Supplex® fabric highly durable, resistant to wear and tear, and tough enough to withstand active use. It also resists fading and shape loss, so it will look like new for years to come.
Fabric characteristics: Quick drying
Supplex® fabric has a high ability to wick moisture away and dry quickly, effectively managing sweat generated during intense exercise, helping the wearer stay cooler and more comfortable.
【maintenance】
- Use a neutral detergent when washing.
- Turn the product inside out, place it in a laundry net and wash it alone.
- Water temperature should be limited to 40°C, and washing with hot water should be avoided.
- Please avoid tumble drying as much as possible.

[Manufacturer description]
RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR is a manufacturer of tools that simplify your time in the mountains and your daily life leading up to it.
It all started when I started making mountaineering equipment for my own use. As I made various tools with my sewing machine, more and more people started saying they wanted them, so I started a brand within the scope of what I could do myself.
