A hooded version of STATIC's mountain shirt [Merced River Shirts]. While many other companies are also releasing hooded mountain shirts, the fact that the hood is detachable is a big plus. Lately, many base layers also come with hoods, so you can attach or detach it according to your layering needs, and wear it with the hood on in the mountains, and without it at a restaurant after descending. The wearing scenarios are diverse.

And when you hold it, you can't help but exclaim, "Light!" It weighs a mere 137g (M/L size). As expected from STATIC, the fabric is 100% recycled nylon.

You can wear it as is, or bring it along as a wind shell. It's also stretchy and easy to move in.

The sizing is quite tricky; at 170cm, both S/M and M/L fit comfortably. Customers often try them on multiple times to choose.

If you prefer a snug fit, the smaller size (S/M in my case) is recommended. If you prefer a looser fit, the larger size (M/L) is recommended.

The Merced River is a river that flows through Yosemite Valley. This shirt is designed for leisurely enjoyment of nature, such as strolling around the river, visiting waterfalls, or admiring Ansel Adams' photographs.

The 100% recycled nylon fabric achieves high stretchability through weaving, without using polyurethane, which becomes heavy when wet. Its strong uneven texture and rough feel prevent it from clinging to the skin even when sweating, making it perfect for high altitudes in summer.

It's lightweight and compact, so you can also use it as a wind shell.

Importance of using recycled materials

In the "life cycle of clothing" from raw material procurement to disposal after wear, the largest CO2 emissions occur during the raw material procurement process, accounting for approximately 50% of the total. Therefore, reducing CO2 emissions in raw material procurement significantly reduces the environmental impact throughout the "life cycle of clothing." In the case of pre-consumer recycled nylon (*), there are examples of CO2 emissions being reduced by as much as 75%. Thus, we believe that adopting recycled materials as much as possible and choosing and wearing such clothes is an important action.
