[Manager's comment]

A wool shirt with a wonderful natural texture.

Sportswear is often thought of as being made of synthetic fibers, but STATIC was developed with the aim of replacing as many items as possible with natural materials.

It's thin enough to see light through it, but when you touch it, it feels clearly durable. It's not 100% wool, but a 17% polyester blend. And it's made of ripstop fabric, which is tear-resistant, making it a tough wool shirt.

Male: 170cm / 68kg, wearing size M

Can be worn in size S. If you wear a thin base layer, it will have a slim fit.

However, I can't deny that it feels a little tight, so I wear a size M.

Women's size XS (fits just right)

[Excerpt from product manufacturer]

I want to enjoy replacing as many items as possible with natural materials.

With this in mind, they developed a ripstop wool fabric. Woven in Oshu, this ripstop wool fabric is made with a 17% polyester blend and is used in collared shirts and outer shells combined with recycled wool. Wool is excellent for regulating humidity and preventing cold sweat, yet the fabric is light and versatile. Furthermore, wool is used not only in the shell but also in the liner of the outer layer, making the product a high-quality product made with natural materials overall. Of course, the wool is treated with the same environmentally friendly rubber processing as the base layer to prevent shrinkage.

Its features are:

Made of wool, but finished with ripstop fabric for improved durability.

■The moisture-regulating properties of wool and its thickness make it suitable for use throughout the year, making it suitable for many activities.

[Specifications]

Fabric: 83% merino wool, 17% polyester

[Environmental]

The non-chlorine resin shrink-proofing process does not remove the scales, but rather converts the hydrophobic scales to hydrophilic ones, and then attaches hybrid collagen to prevent the scales from tangling together, which causes shrinkage. It also does not use resin.

In terms of biodegradability, it is safer than chlorine resin processing, and the fabric that touches the skin is made only of wool fiber, not resin. Also, by leaving the scales that control wool's adjustability, we have been able to create a wool product that makes the most of the original functions of wool fiber. It can be said to be an eco-friendly shrink-resistant product that makes the most of wool fiber as much as possible.

I will never forget the words of a developer at a shrink-proofing factory who told me, "Since we don't use chlorine, it's safe for the health of our employees."

■Reducing CO2 emissions from recycled polyester

■Cutting waste generated during the manufacturing process is recycled into new fabric instead of being incinerated.

■Brand, size tag, quality label: 100% recycled polyester derived from PET bottles

[Manufacturer description]

STATIC is the first eco-friendly outdoor brand from Japan. The apparel industry is one of the most environmentally conscious industries in the world. Outdoor wear is no exception. In the midst of a changing natural environment due to global warming and other factors, we want to continue our outdoor activities, which are our life's work.

We pondered what we could do in this situation, and the answer we came up with was the environmentally conscious outdoor brand "STATIC."
